Keynote Session - Alessandro Vizzarri
Web3 and Distributed Ledger Technologies for securing the next communication networks. Main findings from the RESTART project.
The Web3 paradigm is promising to revolutionise the cybersecurity of the future Internet and related services for the end users. The paradigm shift is based on blockchain, tokens and smart contracts. The impact also regards the next communication networks underlying, e.g. Advanced 5G and 6G. The keynote speech will describe the main Web3 features, according to the most important security agencies (e.g. NIST, ENISA,..) and their impact on the security of the next communication networks BY5G, 6G, platforms and data. The enabled applications such as Decentralized Apps (dAPP), Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) and Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAO) will be also analyzed, together with their concerns on privacy and security. Conclusions will be drawn on the Web3 Open issues and challenges.
